I've always loved the soft painterly quality of certain portraits, not only by photographers, but by the classic painters as well. In this set I found a magical combination of the right camera, the right lenses, the right model, the right light, and the right touch in post-processing in Photoshop.
Taken in Heritage Hill in Grand Rapids, MI. The color grading here is some of my favorite I've done. No, I don't use presets. These aren't film, these are digital (Fujifilm X-T2 with the Externa Cinema film simulation in Capture One Pro). And guess what, they're not black and white!
Honestly I still had a really hard time not converting some to monochrome, but this color palette is just too good.
